I just have to take a moment and recognize someone who truly reminded me what genuine customer service feels like.
Today, Friday, March 20th, 2026 at 1:20 PM, I spoke with Valerie Porter at the Pulaski County Assessor's Office, and when I tell you she was the sweetest, most genuine person—you could feel it right through the phone. Her warmth, her kindness, her patience… it was electrifying in the best way.
She calmed me, informed me, and made me feel completely at ease. We even shared a few light moments, and I found myself smiling the entire time just listening to her pleasant voice. By the end of the call, I felt so comfortable I told myself I could go have tea with this lady!
That is what customer service is all about. Honestly, she made such an impression on me that she could have told me I owed a thousand dollars, and I probably wouldn’t have even cared as much because of how she made me feel.
She didn’t just do her job—she brought peace, reassurance, and kindness into my day. She even went the extra step and connected me with the Treasurer’s Office so I could get the information I needed.
Ms. Porter is truly a remarkable woman, and if anyone represents what a brand should be, it’s her. She reminded me that there are still good, wholesome people out here who genuinely want the best for others.
Thank you, Ms. Porter—you truly made my day.

Respectfully,

Michelle O

Very friendly. Changed name on my assessment record with no problem. Besure to get stamped receipt if you are going to get car tags.

100% excellent service. I work out of state and sometimes need information and extra help. The staff at the Assessors office have been above and beyond.

I talked to the most polite and professional woman getting my assessment for my vehicle. I did not even have to ask questions because Ms. Melody had already instructed me on everything that needs to be done. This is one of my great experiences since arriving to Arkansas in August 2025.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but our experience with the PC Tax Assessor's Office was... pleasant?? Hard to believe, I know. The lady was helpful and directed us properly, even though we were one of the hundreds of special cases they probably see every day. We moved into the state last year and accessed, but after staying in an apartment a year we're moving out of the county. No problem though, she told us what to do. Great job!
